Mandi Hill is a registered Art Psychotherapist. She specialises in the treatment of children and families in need of help, guidance and support.
Sometimes children are misunderstood and display behaviours that parents, carers and teachers find difficult to manage. Mandi works with a child's inner world to change it from a bleak and hostile place to one with warmth, allies and hope. She creates a secure space for children and their families to understand the child's inner life by finding the words for what the child is experiencing and helping children and parents to develop the capacity to reflect and deal with issues in a constructive manner.
“Expressive art therapy integrates all of the arts in a safe, non-judgmental setting to facilitate personal growth and healing. To use the arts expressively means going into our inner realms to discover feelings and to express them through visual art, movement, sound, writing or drama. This process fosters release, self-understanding, insight and awakens creativity and transpersonal states of consciousness.”
